We have had Penny for two years. When she was one she bit our dog sitter when she had something in her mouth and was hiding under a chair. Most recently she bit my 9 year old son when he leaned on her on the couch. She lives a very comfortable life. At home with her older 14 year old golden doodle sister and me as a stay at home mom of two young kids. She has walks, two meals a day and treats. She has a few favourite toys and loves cuddling up on the couch or with my son in his bed before he goes to sleep.
We have realized that her personal space issue is going to always pose a risk to our kids and any friends or cousins they have over. As adults we can sense when Penny needs space but kids cannot. We can’t risk her being put in an uncomfortable situation and have sadly made the decision to find her a new home.
