I have a dog named Oscar. He just turned 8 and weighs 9 lbs. He is a terrier cross of sorts. He doesn't shed. He is up-to-date with all shots & vetting until next year. He is on Nexguard and has a supply for the rest of this season.
8 weeks ago Oscar was placed on renal hard & soft food by his vet, along with a medicated renal powder to sprinkle on his food once daily. On Aug 16th he had his bloodwork rechecked and he has had considerable improvement with this new diet to his kidney function - a big relief. Other than that, Oscar is a sweet little dog who needs attention throughout the day. He's a typical purse, lap dog who will bring much joy to someone who loves to cuddle with their pet. He loves car rides and goes right to sleep.
Sadly, I need to surrender Oscar ASAP so he has the best chance. Otherwise my only alternative would be to have him put down, if I cannot find him a new and suitable, happy home.
I do believe the ideal home for Oscar is someone who likes being home a lot or takes Oscar with them when they go out, if they can. Someone who loves to cuddle with their pet. Oscar loves to be spoken to and sung to. A more quiet home with not too much activity. But occasional visitors and he's ok with children say 4 years old & up. I think he'd be good in an apartment too, but outside time & walks as well. He loves laying in the morning sun. If he could be the only pet, he'd like that, but not an absolute.
