Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Cartier. She is one of 3 female sisters surrendered to our Rescue by the owner. The Mom is a Bull Terrier mix and the father is a Shep/Border Collie (see photos). The Mom is 65lbs and Dad is 70 lbs. These pups have short hair coats. We have named them after famous Jewelers.
Cartier is the most affectionate of the 3. She loves to be cuddled and will cuddle right back. These gals have super temperaments, as do their parents, apparently. They are quiet except when playing with each other. They are crate trained and sleep in their crates at night. They are smart and learn new tasks quickly. Cartier responds to her name and has shown very good recall skills. She enjoys her meal times and is fed in her crate. She plays well with her siblings. They were timid when they first arrived but have now come out of their shell. Tiffany loves to play outside in the yard with her siblings. With her short hair coat she gets cold easily so will need a winter coat once the season approaches. Cartier's favourite toys are chew toys. She enjoys Kong bones and small Kongs filled with canned dog food that has been frozen. This is especially handy at night when they go in their crate. She will carry around in her mouth.
Cartier gets along with the dogs but has not met any cats. We can tell that they are going to be calm dogs when fully grown. We will assume they many reach 60 lbs when fully grown. They eat twice daily and are eating Royal Canin Small Breed Puppy Food at this point. They were very good for their photoshoots. This very sweet little girls will fit in with almost any type of family dynamic. They have had no leash training at this point so their new family will need to work on this part of her training.
They are up to date with their vaccines and have been dewormed.
A fully fenced yard is mandatory in order to apply for our Cartier.
Thank you to Stephen Taylor Photography for your expertise and showcasing these lovelies!
