Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Timmie. He is one of 4 pups brought into our Rescue from a Humane Society via PAWS. His siblings are Rickie, Winnie and Lizzie. Based on their current appearance, we believe they may be collie/Maremma. The Mom of the litter is in foster care and her photo is attached in the bio. We believe they will be medium size dogs when fully grown. Timmie has a very fluffy coat.
Timmie was the shyest of the 4 siblings. He has blossomed in foster care, courtesy of his foster family and the other dogs in the home. He now comes when called, especially for feedings as he would eat all day if he could. He eats in a crate and is on Royal Canin Medium Breed Puppy Food. Don't let the photos fool you, he has a VERY fluffy coat, like a baby polar bear, but was still damp from his bath when his photos were taken.
This little boy is learning to enjoy his baths. Due to the light colour of his coat, he is bathed often, due to the amount of rain we have been having lately. He loves playing with other dogs his size, so he plays with his siblings and the Boxer pups. He gets warm very easily so likes to sleep on a Karunda Bed. He plays with all sorts of toys stuffies are his favourite. Timmie loves being outside and will be found in the shade if it is too warm. He hasn't had a kiddie pool yet, but we bet he would love that or a splash pad. He is papertrained but prefers to go outside. He is now getting used to being picked up and cuddled.
The ideal home for Timmie is one where his family spends a fair amount of time outdoors, if not too hot. Rolling in the grass is a favourite pastime of his. He should be enrolled in obedience training to continue his confidence building and bonding with his new family. Another socialized canine would be a bonus, again to help teach him the ropes and continue his socialization.
On June 14, he will have his third set of vaccines, including Lepto, Bordetella, and Lepto. He will also be microchipped.
A fully fenced yard or a farm is mandatory to apply for our Timmie.
