Teisha

Hi! My Name Is Teisha

We're happy to tell you that Teisha has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Barks and Meows Rescue introduces beautiful Teisha.  She is a 2-year-old American Bulldog/Terrier mix.  She has a short hair coat and was found as a stray.

Teisha is just the sweetest dog you will ever meet.  She was found in horrible shape, with Demodex (a non-contagious form of mange) and was emaciated.  The shelter originally thought she was pregnant due to her round belly, but that turned out to be negative.   Fast forward a few months later and she looks wonderful.  Her Demodex is gone and she has gained a significant amount of weight.  Actually, she needs to be watched as she will overeat if allowed.  She now weighs 61 lbs.

This gal is a lover of all.  She loves all people and wants to give kisses and hugs to everyone.  It is so very sad someone gave up on her.  We thank Monica Crawford and Kristen for giving her a chance to find Rescue.  She was worth everyone's time, we can assure you.  We have not seen any stranger danger reactivity from her, she just wants to be everyone's friend.  Our photographer was so very tempted to adopt her, believing her to be the sweetest dog she has met to date.  Teisha loves children and dogs.  She plays with any dog regardless of sex and size.  She definitely had a litter previously so is wonderful with puppies too!  Teisha plays very nicely with other dogs, and they tend to gravitate toward her because of this.  She is a very quiet dog and her foster home has not heard her bark yet.

She is fully housebroken and enjoys playing outside.  She is not a fan of the rain so not sure if she would be a swimmer.  This is one gentle soul.  Not a mean bone in her body.  A perfect family dog.  No crate is required as she is not destructive in the home.  She rides very well in the vehicle.  Not too bad on a body harness but will take more work.   She is fed twice daily and has been treated for her Lyme disease since arriving in foster care.

The ideal home for Teisha is one where she is allowed to be an integral part of the family on a daily basis.  She should go for two walks a day and continue meeting other dogs which she loves.  Another resident dog would be wonderful as she is no extra work.

Teisha is spayed, up to date with vaccines, 4dx negative except for Lyme, which she has been treated for and dewormed.

A fully fenced yard and a Veterinarian History of Compliance are mandatory in order to apply for our Teisha.
