Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Patti. She is one of 3 puppies born to Mommy Lulu, though only two survived. Lulu is an 18lb Chihuahua mix and her father is unknown though we can see the terrier in them both. Lulu came from a hoarding situation where multiple dogs were kept in crates. Patti has a short hair coat and will not be any larger than his Mom when fully grown.
Patti is the more introverted of the two in this litter. She is not as brave as her brother, nor does she follow him when he is outside playing with any size dog that will have him. She too is tiny, only weighing 6.2 lbs on July 28. She is fed in a crate with her brother eating Royal Canin Small Breed Puppy food. Both she and her brother are very good in the bathtub. She has not spent much time outside yet but will love it once she has a quieter home. She is an absolute sweetheart and no trouble at all.
The ideal home for Patti will be one that is not too hectic. She is much like her Mom who is curious but not brave.
On July 22, Patti had her first set of vaccines, including Bordetella, and was microchipped and given Revolution. Both Patti and Angus have umbilical hernias, so Barks and Meows Rescue will pay for the repair, as well as the neuter at 6 months of age at the West Lorne Animal Hospital.
A fully fenced yard is mandatory to apply for our Patti.
Thank you so much to Melissa Caron Photography for these spectacular photos and to Derrick for your help with the pup's photoshoot.
