Hi! My Name Is Mannix

NO MORE APPLICATIONS BEING ACCEPTED! Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Mannix. He may be a lab/Dachshund mix, definitely a low rider, who the vets estimated to be 2 years old. He weighs 33lbs. He has soft medium-length fur. He was found as a stray. Mannix is such a gem. He is one of the most easy-going dogs you will ever meet. He just goes with the flow and whenever someone talks to him he wags his tag, which is quite long. He came to our Rescue, already housebroken and we have since paper trained him just in case. He sleeps on the couch or the lazy boy at night. Mannix is not destructive in the slightest. He enjoys the company of the other dogs in his foster home, but we have never seen him play with any of them. He appears to have the maturity of an older dog but the physique of a younger dog. The vet noted on his records he has zero tarter on his teeth which led to the estimate of his age. Mannix is fed twice daily a small breed dry food, mixed with a bit of warm water and canned. He will never overeat. He currently is fed in a crate but doesn't require one. This is one dog that never needs to be in a crate! He does so well in a vehicle. He doesn't get car sick and just curls up and sleeps. He is very good with children and every single dog he has met, and there have been many. We have tested him with outdoor feral cats and he was just fine with them. He is a very quiet, mellow fellow. We have yet to hear him bark. The ideal home for Mannix, most likely would be one with a family but not too active. He should be going for walks twice a day though he is not used to it. He will require work with a body harness and leash. Mannix is neutered, up to date with vaccines, 4DX tested negative, fecal negative and dewormed. A fully fenced yard and a Veterinarian History of Compliance is mandatory to apply for Mannix.
