Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Mommy Lulu. She was rescued as a pregnant stray who was heartworm positive. She is a Chihuahua mix weighing 19 lbs. Both her puppies have since been adopted and she is now fully vetted and heartworm free.
If you are looking for your own little shadow, look no further than little Lulu! Lulu has had to overcome quite the past since coming into rescue. She arrived at Barks and Meows pregnant and heart worm positive, and underwent treatment this past winter. On top of this, she also had a large inguinal hernia, a mammary mass (benign!) and several broken teeth, all of which had to be addressed at her spay surgery.
Despite everything she’s been through, Lulu is the most affectionate and loving dog you could ever hope to meet. She bonds very deeply with her people and would do best with a family who is home more often throughout the day. She is always up for anything, whether a family adventure or an afternoon snuggling on the couch - as long as she can be one step behind you the whole time, she’s a happy girl! Her confidence has grown exponentially while in rescue, and she’s looking for a family to continue teaching her that the world isn’t as scary as her past led her to believe. Lulu is great with kids, cats and lower-energy dogs. Lulu is fully housebroken.
Lulu is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped and on Nexguard Spectra.
