Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Mommy Lily. She came to our Rescue Pregnant and had a beautiful litter of 7 on Easter Monday this year. Lily is a hound/retriever cross. She has a medium-length hair coat. She was found on the side of the road as a stray.
Mommy Lily is just a fantastic dog. She is wonderful with everyone, social and quiet! She does have hound in her but her bark is not that of a hound. Lily loves to play with all dogs including her one remaining pup, Hambone, who is not yet adopted. She is wonderful with male and female dogs as well as cats.
Lily is now 45lbs and at her optimum weight. The is estimated to be 1 1/2 years old. She was spayed on July 18. Lily has a beautiful white coat and she is a very clean dog. Lily is housebroken and affectionate with everyone. Lily rides well in the vehicle but will require leash work for walks. She sleeps either on a doggie bed or on the furniture at night. She still enjoys playing with toys. She has the appetite of both her breed mixes so her food is measured out twice daily so she does not gain weight. Lily really is the perfect family dog.
The ideal home for her is one where the family will take her out a few daily walks. She is used to having other dogs in her home so another socialized dog would be a bonus.
Lily is spayed, up to date with vaccines, dewormed, microchipped and on heartworm/flea/tick prevention.
A fully fenced yard and a Veterinarian History of Compliance are mandatory to apply for our Mommy Lily.
