Lexi

Hi! My Name Is Lexi

We're happy to tell you that Lexi has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Mommy Lexi.  She is a medium size yellow lab mix weighing 50 lbs.  She has a medium-length coat.  She was an owner surrendered along with her 5 babies.  The vets estimate her to be 3 years old.

Mommy Lexi was surrendered with her 5 babies, another female which is her daughter from a previous litter  (Angel) and her breeding partner Leo.  The family had her with her babies in a shed and poor Leo was tied up outside with access to the shed while tied.    The family had decided this was not the breed they wanted and consequently had purchased a German Shepherd Puppy instead.

Mommy Lexi is a very, nice dog.  She is well-behaved and knows all her commands.  She was a great Mom and does well with dogs as long as they do not try to boss her around.  She is very obedient, housebroken, and still enjoys playing with other dogs.  She completely ignores her one puppy Timmy, who is currently still up for adoption.  He takes after her incredibly sweet nature.

Mommy Lexi is a very social dog, loves, people and children of all ages.  She has a nurturing demeanor so would love a family with kids to call her own.  Lexi still loves to play with stuffies and play tug of war with her rope toys.  She is feed twice daily and is on Royal Canin Medium Breed adult food.  She rides very well in the car and was incredibly well-behaved for the photographer.  Lexi loves to cuddle and give kisses.  Currently, she sleeps in a Karunda bed at night.  We are unsure of what her mix is, but definitely Lab is the main breed in her.  She has all the lovely traits of a lab and will bond quickly with her family.

The ideal home is one with a family who will involve her in walks, outdoor activities and still have time for watching TV on the couch.

Lexi is spayed, up to date with vaccines, including Lepto, Bordetella and Lyme, on flea tick prevention and microchipped.

A fully fenced yard, 5 feet high or higher,  is mandatory to apply for our Lexi.

We thank Melissa Caron Photography for taking all her photos since she was 8 weeks old!
