Barks and Meows introduces Mommy Kaluha. She is a 43lb Boxer mix, who came to Rescue from a Shelter fully pregnant. Mommy Kaluha gave birth on May 13, to 7 beautiful babies who have all been adopted out. She was a wonderful Mom and played with her pups all the time. She is very typical of the Boxer breed but smaller. She is about 1 1/2 years old.
Kaluha really is the perfect family dog. She is extremely gentle and not overbearing. She is quiet and does not drool. She is quite the couch potato in her foster home. Kaluha absolutely loves all dogs and children. She tested well with the feral cats on her foster's porch. She was found starving so she will always have a huge appetite. Her foster home measures her food twice daily to ensure she doesn't overeat. She is at her ideal weight currently at 19.6kg. Toys are another favorite of hers, any kind will do. She enjoys laying outside in the grass on nice weather days. Kaluha is housebroken. She will require more work on leash walking but will enjoy it once she gets out a few times a day. Kaluha rides well in the vehicle. She sleeps on the couch at her foster home.
The ideal home for her is one where she gets to go for walks daily, play with the family members outside, and be given cuddle time on the couch. She is a very nurturing dog so will be wonderful with children.
Kaluha is spayed, up to date with vaccines, 4dx tested negative, dewormed, on heartworm/flea/tick prevention, and microchipped.
A fully fenced backyard and a Veterinarian History of Compliance are mandatory to apply for our Kaluha.
