Barks and Meows introduce Jeremiah. He is a 1-year-old Tree Walking Coonhound with a short hair coat. He weighs 55 lbs and was found as a stray. Jeremiah has a fantastic sweet disposition, He loves every person and every dog he meets. He plays very nice with the other dogs and it is his favorite pastime. He is an adolescent so is still gangly and goofy. He has been an absolute joy to his foster family. He is gentle and kind]and has not a mean bone in his body. Typical of his breed, he follows his nose and his stomach. He will counter surf if allowed to do so, grabbing any food or paper towels. He is crate trained so at his age will need to be crated when the family is not home. He will grab paper towels off the counter because that's a really fun project for him, trying to rip it apart before his foster Mom catches him. He has a very typical hound appetite. He would eat until he was sick if allowed. He was emaciated when we got him so is fed puppy food three times a day and has put on weight very nicely. He tested positive for Lyme disease but has finished the required treatment for it. He loves toys of all kinds and sleeps on the lazy boy at night. He needs a coat outside but loves to play with the dogs in the yard. He is neutered, up to date with vaccines, negative for heartworm, and dewormed. A fully fenced yard, a Veterinarian History of Compliance, no resident cats, and another playful socialized dog are mandatory to apply for our Jeremiah.
