Barks and Meows introduce Gunner. This boy's breed mix is a mystery but our educated guess is a black Norweigian Elkhound and Shepherd mix. He is 2 years old and weighs 52lbs. His coat is medium length and a mixture of black and silver. Gosh, we love this boy. He is great with every dog he meets. He adores children and people and is gentle and loving. He can be mouthy when he is bored. He has the talkative nature of a Shepherd. He talks when he wants something and talks to the other dogs when playing. He doesn't like cats. Gunner is not a fan of the crate but is currently crated at night and during feeding time. He is extremely food motivated. He will sit up and beg with paws crossed when he wants something. We question his age. He acts more like a 1-year-old than a 2-year-old. He is still in the chewing stage so he should get used to being created when the family is out. This sweetie loves all sorts of toys and sticks. He enjoys playing outside but not if it's too hot. Gunner loves to cuddle up on the couch with his family watching TV. He is fully housebroken. He needs work walking on a leash and body harness. He will be very good off-leash on hiking trails and cottages once he bonds with his family. Gunner rides well in a vehicle. The ideal home for Gunner is a farm property where he can be a working dog. He has the herding instinct so he should have cattle or other livestock to herd. Gunner is neutered, fully fascinated, 4DX tested negative and dewormed. A working farm and a Veterinarian history of compliance are mandatory to apply for Gunner.
