Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Gracie. She is a 3-year-old Boxer/Black Mouth Cur Mix. She weighs 54lbs and had a medium length hair coat. She was rescued as a stray, already pregnant, from a high kill shelter. She lives in a multiple dog foster home and is great with all dogs she meets. She has lived in two foster homes with multiple dogs with zero concerns. She is a low to mid energy gal but still requires a fair amount of stimuli so as not to get bored. She is not leashed reactive to other dogs when on her walks. True to her breed, she can be stubborn so a dog-savvy family who is willing to show her they are in charge is important. Gracie is very loving with people and children. She appeared to be indifferent to cats at PetValu. She loves to play with everyone in the home. Gracie is crate trained and crated when the family is out of the home. She is very smart and yearns to be cuddled as much as possible. She is very calm and likes to be near someone in the house, She will bark but not excessively. She sleeps in her doggie bed or couch at night time. Gracie has a huge appetite so get food is measured out twice daily. She is fully housebroken and rides excellently in the car. She requires more work walking in a body harness and lead but that will come with practice. She food motivated making training so much easier. She knows her basic commands. Gracie is spayed, Fully vaccinated, dewormed and 4dx tested negative. A fully fenced yard and a Veterinarian history of compliance are mandatory to apply for our Gracie.
