Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Cooper. He is a 12-year-old Terrier mix, just cute and as sweet as a button. Cooper weighs 14.2lbs. He has a wire hair coat and was surrendered to rescue when his owner passed away. This little guy is no trouble. He is so very well behaved, one would forget he is in the home. He loves to be around family members. He is so good at not getting under anyone's feet. Cooper does not require being carried around and is quite content to have his family member or member within his site. He prefers stuffie toys that are quite durable as he will tear them apart. Cooper listens very well, is housebroken and paper trained. He enjoys going outside in the backyard. Our Cooper does very well in the vehicle. He is a very quiet dog until such time as all the family members are out of the house, then he barks. He is wonderful with dogs and cats of all ages, sizes and both males and females. Having another dog in the home though doesn't help his separation anxiety. He will require a family where there is someone home most of the time. Cooper sleeps in the bed with his foster parents and is no trouble at all. He goes with the flow and will get up or sleep in, whatever his family chooses to do is just dandy with him. He is very good with children so he must have been exposed to them previously. A nice clipping every three months at the groomer will keep him looking just spiffy. Cooper is fed twice daily, small breed dry dog food. We are just in love with this little fellow. He is not nippy at all and such a good little boy. He is the perfect little senior. He has so much love to give. The ideal home for Cooper is one where there is a family member home most of the time. A family that enjoys the small breeds and understands the reasons behind separation anxiety for a sweet soul who lost his previous family is important. Cooper is neutered, up to date with vaccines, and has had a recent dental. He is also microchipped. A fully fenced yard and a Veterinarian History of Compliance is mandatory in order to apply for our Cooper.
