Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Chutney. She is a Chesapeake Retriever/Border Collie. They will be medium size dogs when fully grown.
She has a wavy medium haircoat, Cranberry and her sister Chutney are owner surrenders when a neighbor's dog jumped the fenced and mounted their own dog.
This breed mix is just one of the nicest we have every come in contact with. Their dispositions are so gentle and lovely. They are both very quiet, and have excellent recall. The family who will get to call these gals their own, will be very lucky and very pleased. Both girls are gentle and not nippy. They love to play with their toys as well as other dogs. They both have the intelligence of the border collie and the disposition of the Chesapeake.
Chutney is a bit bigger than her sister. She loves to play with other dogs and toys and will do that all day until she gets tired. She is not a high energy player, she just enjoys socializing so much with other dogs. She loves to cuddle and is very good in the bathtub. She is fed twice daily and is currently eating Royal Canin Labrador puppy food. Currently they are crated when in the vehicle and do not get carsick. . They are not showing any signs of having a prey drive.
Both of these girls will do well in a home with a family with children. They are calm, not hyper which is a benefit when having children in the home.
A fully fenced yard is mandatory to apply for our Chutney..
