Chief

Hi! My Name Is Chief

We're happy to tell you that Chief has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Chief.  He is a 2-year-old Border Collie/Husky with a thick medium-length hair coat.  He weighs 50lbs and was found as a stray, chasing trucks down the highway.

Chief is the optimum family dog.  He is not high-energy, unusual, due to his breed mix.  He loves to be with his family.  He is gentle and loving and takes treats gently.  Chief is very good with children and not mouthy.  This boy enjoys being with the family in the backyard.  He is housebroken.  Chief rides well in the vehicle and is not too bad on a leash and harness but will need some work in this regard.  He is fostered in a foster home with other dogs and is amazing with all of them.  He is all paws when he plays with other dogs, a typical Husky trait.    He is nice and quiet and not a barker.  Chief enjoys all sorts of toys and currently sleeps on a doggie bed.

He is a fussy eater and so will not overeat.  He chews every piece of kibble.  Chief has the most amazing blue eyes.  He looks smaller than 5olbs, he is cuddly like a teddy bear.  He is very good with strangers.

The ideal home for Chief is one where the family will include him in their activities and take him for two walks a day.  Another resident canine would be a bonus as he is so good with other dogs.   A cat-free home since he has not been tested with cats.

Chief is neutered, up to date with vaccines, 4dx tested negative, and microchipped.

A fully fenced backyard and a Veterinarian History of Compliance is mandatory to apply for our sweet Chief.
