Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Charlie. He is a beagle mix and according to his DNA he is 75% Beagle, small percentage "Super Mutt" and a small percentage Springer Spaniel. He weighs 56 lbs and is taller than a pure beagle. His family surrendered him since having him as a puppy as their 11 month old is highly allergic to him.
Charlie came into our Rescue having been very well treated and trained by his previous family. He has a big heart and loves children dogs and cats. He knows all his basic commands and is overweight so is now on Performatrin Healthy weight as part of his weightloss program. He enjoys walks and spending lots of time outdoors under the mature trees in the yard when it is not too hot out. He is fed twice daily and is not on any medication other than Heartworm flea tick prevention.
This sweet guy has big large eyes that will melt your soul. He seems to always be happy and well adjusted no matter what situation he is in. Cuddling on the couch with his foster family seems to give him great pleasure. He is housebroken and no crating required as he is not destructive in the home at all.
He listens very well. He can be trusted around other pets and children. He loves being around any family member and doesn't appear to play favourites. He rides well in the vehicle and at the vets.
The ideal home for Charlie is one where the family has another pet to keep him company for companionship. Two good walks daily in good weather to keep him stimulated and to assist with the weight loss will make him the best he can be. Children in the home will be absolutely fine.
Charlie is neutered, up to date with vaccines, 4dx tested negative and on heartworm flea tick prevention. He is also microchipped.
A Fully Fenced yard is mandatory to apply for our Charlie.
