Billy-Bob

Hi! My Name Is Billy-Bob

We're happy to tell you that Billy-Bob has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.

Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Billy-Bob.  He is a Foxhound/Redbone Coonhound mix born to Anna-lee on Jan 24/2022.  There are 6 in the litter, 4 males, two females.  We estimate him to be no more than 50lbs when full grown as he is one of the smaller ones.  Mommy Annalee weighs 40lbs.  We have no idea who the father/fathers are as Annalee was already pregnant when found.

This litter was born in our foster care program.  They have all been healthy from the get-go and are currently eating Royal Canin Medium Breed Puppy food.  They are free-fed four times daily.  They all have been dewormed every two weeks since birth.  Billy-Bob will have a medium-length coat when fully grown.  The litter is pee pad trained and very well socialized.  They are extremely affectionate.

Billy-Bob is very sweet and loves to be held and gives kisses.   He is one of the smallest males so has learned to wait his turn at the water bowl.  He is a good boy for his bath and nail trims. The entire litter loves all sorts of toys and is very active but has not yet found its voice.  When fully grown they should have the bay of a hound.  They have their own individual feeding stations and their food is moistened with warm water.  They have been in the car twice in crates and have done very well.  As with all hounds, they can never be off-leash in an unfenced area or they will run and follow the scents they find.  They are climbers, as Coonhounds can climb trees so the fencing must be high and made of wood.

Billy-Bob now has had his first and second set of vaccines.  As of April 7, he weighed 8 kg.  The vets say he is a very healthy puppy and they are very pleased with our deworming protocol of the litter.

A fully fenced backyard, having a minimum of 6 feet high wooden fencing, and a Veterinarian History of Compliance is mandatory to apply for this litter.  Priority will be given to previous adopters and to those applicants who have another well-socialized dog in the home.
