Luna

Hi! My Name Is Luna

We're happy to tell you that Luna has a new furever home.
Please visit our Available Dogs Page to see the pups currently available.
Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Luna.  She is a 2-year-old Siberian Husky.  Her markings are stunning with standard blue eyes.  She weighs 41lbs and was an owner surrender. Luna has had many homes in the rural south over her short lifespan.  The last home said they didn't want her anymore.  We are absolutely dumbfounded as she is extremely well socialized and shows no negative effects of having been passed around from family members to friends.  She has a wonderful temperament and is great with dogs, cats, and all children.  She listens very well.  Her appetite, typical of her breed is finicky.  We have found a food that she will eat now, 1 1/2 cups twice a day.  She is perfectly housebroken ad hates to be crated.  That's okay,  she doesn't need a crate as she has not been destructive in her foster home.  She adores playing with other dogs, both males, and females.  She does not get car sick in the vehicle.  She is not leash trained so she will need further work with that.  Luna enjoys Chew toys and treats. The ideal home for Luna is one with another dog.  She really has a fantastic time playing with other dogs due to her being so social.  She is slightly timid with people so a less busy home is best in order for her to bond quickly with her family. She is a bit mouthy when excited, so a home that has children should be of the ages 8 years and older.  Luna is spayed, up to date with vaccines, 4 DX tested negative, on heartworm, flea/tick prevention for November, dewormed, and microchipped. A fully 6 foot wooden fenced in yard and a Veterinarian History of Compliance is mandatory to apply for our Luna
