Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Eve. She was surrendered to a shelter with three other dogs. She is 19 months old and is a Hound, perhaps Boxer mix. She weighs 55 lbs. Eve is really a wonderful family dog. She loves being around people. She enjoys playing with dogs, though on her own terms. She is in a foster home with another male dog about the same age and they are getting along great. Eve is crate trained but doesn't require one. She is not destructive in the home and is fully housebroken. Though the shelter advised us that at the shelter she appeared to ignore the cats, we have seen evidence of a prey drive so we are looking for a cat-free home for her. Eve has a great appetite and is a quiet gal. She rides very well in the car. She is extremely strong so when walking her on a lead she can really pull. Eve really enjoys her evening walks. Eve loves to be around the family members. Cuddling on the couch with her family makes her so happy. She loves to give kisses and be all up in your space. The ideal home for Eve is one where the family includes her most activities inside and outside the home. It must be a cat-free home. Another socialized dog would be fine. Lots of walks on a lead and body harness is ideal. Eve is spayed, up to date with vaccines, heartworm tested negative, dewormed, and on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. She is also microchipped. A fully fenced yard and a Veterinarian History of Compliance is mandatory to apply for Eve.
