Scooby

Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Scooby. He is a darling 4 year old Sharpei. His colour is known as chocolate. Scooby weighs 51lbs. He is an owner surrender. Scooby is a fantastic Sharpei. He had been very socialized with other dogs and people. He is even good to have his nails clipped which we have found is rare for this breed. He is typical of his breed in that he is quiet, always wants to be with a family member, listens well and has a great appetite. He is very affectionate and loves to give kisses. He walks like a dream on a leash and is excellent in the vehicle. He may be fine with a resident cat but we are not sure. Many Sharpeis accept any animal living in the home but outside the home, cats may be fair game. When he arrived in our Rescue we took him to our vet to check his eyes to see if entropion surgery was necessary. Our vets said there was nothing at all wrong with his eyes and no surgery required. His eyes are clear, no discharge, no ulcers and his eyelashes are not running against his eyes. This was wonderful news as this breed is prone to needing this surgery performed. The ideal home for Scooby is one with another well socialized dog, not for playing with but for companionship. Scooby enjoys dogs of all sizes. He loves all people and continued socialization is key. One good walk a day will suffice for Scooby. Scooby is neutered, 4dx tested negative, up to date with vaccines and in Heartworm/Flea prevention. A fully fenced yard and a Veterinarian history of compliance is mandatory in order to apply for Scooby.
