Whitney was one of 5 puppies born to Saffron on April 30.  They are Foxhound mixes.  Mommy Saffron was pulled from a high kill shelter already pregnant.  She was surrendered to the shelter along with a male and two other females who were also pregnant.  The owner had kept them all in the same pen and of course, they all got pregnant.  He surrendered them because they kept escaping the pen.  The father of these pup has since been adopted and the other two females went to other rescues.

Whitney is a very smart gal.  She was the first to master paper trainng and her siblings followed suit.  She is very social and just a bit nervous when being picked up at this stage.  Once she is in your arms she holds on tight for dear life.  She was the only one that kept leaving her photoshoot spot to go happily visit the photographer.  She is a good girl in the bathtub.  She enjoys playing with her siblings.  She is a quiet girl at this point as well. She is mostly white with some white markings. She has a medium length coat.  We expect these girls to reach up to 50lbs when fully grown making them medium size dogs.  On July 21, she weighed in at 17.4lbs.

Whitney is paper trained and learning to go outside to do her business.  She is crated at night.  Whitney is very socialized with the adult dogs in the foster home.  She loves toys and playing outside.

All of these puppies have been dewormed every two weeks since birth.  They are eating Royal Canin Medium Breed Puppy food.  Whitney has had her first and second set of vaccines, including Bordetella and Lepto.  This breed mix are loving and gentle and will make wonderful family members.

A fully fenced yard and a Veterinarian history of compliance is mandatory in order to apply for Whitney.
