Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Tawny, a beautiful 3 year old Lab/Pyrnees.  She is 70lbs, and quite tall.  She has double dewclaws on both her back feet.  Her coat is medium length.

Tawny was found as a stray.  She has a lovely temperament and does enjoy playing with other dogs once she gets to know them.  She is a low to moderate energy dog until she sees a squirrel.  She will try anything to get at them.  It is for this reason we would not trust her with cats.

Tawny is very gentle despite her size.  She takes treats very gently and loves children.  Tawny loves to be hugged snd cuddled and she will give back gentle kisses.  She gets along well with the other dogs in the foster home.  She loves children.  Tawny is housebroken and crate trained.  She does quite well tethered in the vehicle.

We believe the ideal home for Tawny is one where she gets a fair amount of attention.  The family will need to work with her on leash walking and not jumping up when she is excited. Another socialized resident dog would be a bonus.  A body harnesss will be a requirement in order to walk her as at this point she is too strong to be walked by a child.  She will be the ideal family member and will protect the family forever.

Tawny is spayed up to date with vaccines, Heartworm Tested negative and on Heartworm and flea prevention.

A fully fenced yard, minimum 6 feet high, made of wood, and a Veterinarian history of compliance is mandatory in order to apply for Tawny.
