Barks and Meows Rescue introduces Keira, one of 7 healthy puppies born to Mommy Puppy on May 28.  There are 6 girls and 1 boy in the litter.  They are Border Collie/Australian Shepherd mixes.  They will be medium size when full grown and have medium length fur.  Mommy Pippy was rescued already pregnant from a high kill shelter.

This litter is very high energy due to their breed mix and will continue to be so into adulthood.  They are incredibly loving and intelligent but are a working breed.  The lifestyle required for these little obes, is an extremely active one.  They will excel in the agility or herding environment.  The entire litter is looking to bond and will try anything to win you over.  They even know how to walk backwards which is a trait of the Border Collie.  They all have fantastic temperaments.  They are all paper trainef.  We believe they eill weigh beteern 45-50 lbs when full grown.

Kiera is the largest female in the litter.  She is very focused and is very good in the bathtub.  She is very thick and solid due to her love of food.  She plays nicely with all her siblings and is not a bully.  They had their first set of vaccines on July 12 and she weighed in at 4.7kg.  She also received the Bordetella vaccine and had been dewormed every two weeks since birth.  Their stool sample was negative.

A fully fenced yard and a Veterinarian history of compliance is mandatory in order to apply for Keira.  We will consider farm properties dependent on Dynamics of the home.

The litter was named after some of the Veterinarians and Support staff at the Mount Brydges Animal Clinic.
