Gerwig is always smiling, no matter what he is doing. He has learned to give kisses instead of mouthing. He has now learned to play tug of war with the frisbee. Right now he just wants to play chase and tag with the other canines. Gerwig is very good for having his nails clipped and being brushed. Gerwig is a high energy dog so will require a home that has plenty of time to dedicate to his training at obedience classes. He requires a fully fenced property as well as a home where he is part of the family. Gerwig is neutered, up-to-date with vaccines, including Bordetella, fully dewormed, tested negative for heartworm and on prevention. He is also microchipped.
If you have a lifestyle conducive to this fun, loving canine and wish to watch him experience things for the very first time, please click here for an online application.
Click Here to see just how happy Gerwig is in his element.

"Kiss me Kyle" is a darling 3 year old male beagle. He is very small at 27 pounds but we are feeding him a very high protein diet to put a bit of weight on him. He is enjoying his freedom after having been in a shelter for many months. He loves to play with all the other dogs, no matter what size they are. "Tag, your it", seems to be his most favourite past time. Kyle had never seen a kitty before and was quite timid about meeting one. Now he is surrounded and enjoys as much attention as possible. He was very good for his first bath, and is excellent in the car. He eats in a crate twice daily and is crate trained. Kyle is fully housebroken, never having marked in the home at all. He has a fair amount of energy for a beagle, but eventually does settle down for a nap in the afternoon. Kyle takes food very gently from your hands. He is learning that being handled isn't a scary thing. When he is frightened he drops right down on his belly and all fours. His coat is very short so shedding is minimal. Kyle is very good when having his nails clipped. His ideal home must have a fenced property, with or without a resident canine or kitty and a family that will allow him to relax with them on the furniture. Now Hounds are known for seperation anxiety as they really are pack animals so if you are not home most of the time, a resident canine will be a requirement. At night he has started to ask to come up on the bed and since he is so darn cute and good, he sleeps up with foster mom and many other canines. Kyle also asks to come up when his foster mom is on the the lazy boy chair as he likes to be cuddled and held. He is enjoying Kongs with peanut butter or canned dog food in them. Everyday he becomes more and more brave as he learns the routine of his foster home. We believe he thinks he is in heaven. He is neutered, up-to-date with vaccines, micro-chipped, fully dewormed, heartworm tested negative and on prevention. Have you hugged a hound lately????
Take a look at Kyle enjoying the snow, click here.
If you wish to apply to adopt Kyle, click here, for an application.

Gidget is micro-chipped and fully housebroken. She has tested negative for HW and is on HW Prevention. She would do well with another resident dog in her home that could keep up with her activity level. She is an active girl but not high energy. Gidget will require a fully fenced property. Her recall is excellent always coming when called. She will alert you when someone is outside on the property so a wonderful little watchdog as well. We could see her being a "star" in agility classes, a great activity for the whole family to participate and enjoy.
To see Gidget with her foster family please click on this link
If you wish to apply to adopt little Gidget, please click here.
