Button
Boy or boy this is one dog that is cute as a "Button". Button has come to our rescue from a rural shelter and appears to be a boxer/american bull dog mix. This handsome guy longs to be hugged and petted. Button is fully housebroken and crate trained. He is 18 months old, 65 lbs, neutered, fully vaccinated including kennel cough vaccine, dewormed, heartworm tested negative, on heartworm/flea protection and even micro-chipped. His ideal family is one where he gets a fair amount of exercise each day. He now is an ideal weight for his breed mix having his food measured out on every meal. He is game for whatever activities you have in store for him. His new family should have at least one person home full time or have another resident dog to keep him company otherwise we feel he may suffer from separation anxiety. This is a solid dog who thrives on attention. We believe that he probably was left alone for long periods of his time and now wants to show everyone in the home home much he loves them and wants to be with them. This has to be a dog that is included in the family each and every day. The family members must enjoy this attention and not be put off by it. Button by the way is named for his "button" marking on the top of his head. He gets along great with other dogs and cats. Button is crate trained and is allowed to sleep on his foster family's bed. What a good boy he is when having his nails trimmed. Eating two meals a day is the right regime for him, he eats well in the company of the other dogs. He rides very well in the van, whether in a crate or not. He is a gentle soul, taking treats from you very nicely. Button just loves the snow and has found to be a good boy off leash with his owner by his side.
