About Barks and Meows
Barks and Meows has been created to provide in home pet care, while owners are away for varying degrees of time. This care is to assist with minimizing the stress of the pet, and to continue their routine without removing them from the comfort and safety of their own home.
My name is Charmaine Corbasson, and I am the owner of Barks and Meows. Originally from Toronto, I moved to Glencoe, Ontario in 2000. Sadly, my husband passed away in December 2007, but he left me with two wonderful dogs and two beautiful cats. My pets are my "babies" and I spend all my spare time with them. I live in the country with a large fenced property, to allow our pets to have fun while still at home. I also work for the Mt. Brydges Animal clinic. I learn more about animals, diseases, and their corresponding treatments on a daily basis, enriching my knowledge base as a work in progress.
In June of 2002, I volunteered with the Animal Rescue Foundation This non-profit rescue group rescues dogs and cats from rural areas, and places them in foster homes until the optimum family is found. I can't tell you how wonderful it feels to volunteer for something that you truly believe in. I have met wonderful foster parents, adoptive families, and of course the pets themselves. After many years of fostering for them as well as other groups I decided to start my own rescue group, Barks and Meows Rescue.
I continue to work for and with the Mt. Brydges Animal Clinic so have the wonderful privilege of being surrounded with animals 24 hours a day.
I hope the service we provide allows people an option to placing their pets in Kennels while they are away for extended periods of time, or leaving their animals in crates for eight hours while away at work. Our pets are selfless creatures, asking only that we love them. To ensure they are loved while you are away, will give you peace of mind and allow us to befriend another animal in our lives.

Sincerely,
Charmaine
